Somerkermis

Our yearly Fête takes place on the first Saturday of November, from 09:00 - 13:00 at the centre. Not to be missed!

Die ouers en vriende van ons inwoners sowel as die publiek word uitgenooi om ons te besoek en hierdie lekker gesinsoggend te kom en geniet!

Handgemaakte produkte uit ons werkareas word aangebied: kuns, bakkery, houtwerk, naaldwerk, (bv. versierde dekens kussingoortreksels, ens.), brei en verversings. Daar is ook tradisionele kosstalletjies, ons bekende boekverkoping, en 'n wedloop vir die avontuurlustige!

Horison Challenge Veldwedloop

The Horison Challenge Trail Run takes place as part of the Huis Horison Kermis (Fête) which is a fabulous outing for the whole family and takes place at Huis Horison in Onder Papegaaiberg, Stellenbosch. Come and join us at the end for breakfast, pancakes, books, coffee or a cold beer, kids' activities and lots more!
Afstande 3km, 5km of 10km.

Kuier & Koop

Take some time to join us on a Friday afternoon for a relaxed mini-market experience. Freshly prepared lunch, herbs and plants out of our gardens are available to purchase, and food and snacks out of our bakery, with rusks and biscuits for the pantry. Browse around a selection of books, and buy gifts and goodies straight out of our workrooms.

Gholfdag

Huis Horison’s Golf Day has become a highlight on the annual golf calendar. Hosted by Stellenbosch Golf Club, this fundraiser is a fantastic day out. Competitive and social players can come and enjoy a day of golf, wet holes and halfway house, and an evening function to round it off, while supporting a worthy cause.

The Golf Day takes place on Thursday 11 March 2027 at Stellenbosch Golf Club.

Vier die Lewe Ete

A group of our country’s top and award-winning chefs team up Annualy (August) for a fine-dining dinner in Stellenbosch (each year the venue changes).
Paired with Stellenbosch’s best wines and musicians, this foodie event is nothing but spectacular.

They donate their time and efforts, and make their restaurants available in support of Huis Horison.

Hierdie geleentheid is elke jaar 'n onvergeetlike ervaring, en hierdie jaar sal niks anders wees nie. Moet dit nie misloop nie!

Advanced Padel Tournament

We are proud to host a High-Level Ladies Tournament, bringing together talented players for a day of competitive sport, community spirit, and fundraising. Exciting prizes will be up for grabs, making it an event not to be missed.
