Huis Horison Padel for Purpose Ladies’ Tournament at PadelX:
A Day of Fun and Giving Back.
Huis Horison hosted an exciting padel tournament at PadelX in Somerset West on Saturday, 24 May 2025, and it was a day to remember! The tournament was hosted by the Western Cape’s top ladies players, and with R15 000 in prize money at stake, the ladies played their hearts out.
As a non-profit organisation, it is essential to achieve financial sustainability through fundraising projects, sponsors and generous donations, which help us to provide holistic care for the intellectually disabled adults who rely on Huis Horison’s day programme and residential services.
The tournament was not just about the competition, but rather about coming together as a community to support a good cause. The day was filled with goodwill, sportsmanship, spirit and purpose.
Congratulations to our winners, Martie Wahl and Elizma Slabbert, who won first place with great play, as well as runners-up Lena-Lisa Bester and Terina Coetzee who made for an exciting final.
