Furniture Restorations

This team does magic by restoring and repairing wooden and cane furniture, giving it a new lease on life. Feel free to bring your broken furniture and we will quote you on the repairs. Open weekdays 09:00 – 16:00

Wooden furniture: Sanding down and varnishing, repairs, and painting of furniture. Huis Horison is well known for repairs to riempie furniture. We can replace old and worn riempies and repair damaged frames. We use high quality white leather.  (Enquire for other colours or materials)

Cane: We offer restoration services for cane furniture with damaged or worn-out cane panels. These are removed and cleaned, and new cane woven by hand.

New Furniture and Toys

The Woodwork department makes new pine furniture, including outside stoep furniture, kids’ tables and chairs and is most notably renowned for their original, hand-made wooden children’s toys. All paint used is lead-free.  (See catalogue)
